Wondering if anyone knows if this is similar to the recipe Bobby serves at his restaurants. I had the Chocolate Cornbread Pudding as they call it in Vegas and it was fabulous. Have been trying to get the recipe ever since. Not in any cookbook, his website or online. Guess I'll give this a try. My rating is for his restaurant version. If you go, get the chocolate espresso martini to go with. MMM, a meal in itself.

Here are the directions for the Hot Mexican Chocolate Sauce. I am watching the show now.
Place cream and cinnamon sticks in a saucepan. When it comes to a boil, add chocolate, and stir. Add sugar and almonds. Stir, and set aside.

I have many Bobby Flay recipes in my file and consistently enjoy the results of my recreating his work as well as many compliments. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with this chocolate cornpone. I followed the recipe to the letter (which included a 10+ store search in 5 cities and 2 counties as there was a white corn meal recall the month I decided to make this recipe and felt there were far too many steps with not near enough reward. I had hoped for a bit of zip in the chocolate from the chilies, richness to the chocolate that would make my guests and me swoon on our way to chocolate heaven. The verdict was consistent and polite - "It's good". Not the Wow! I have to have that recipe" I expected. Sorry Bobby, I won't make this one ever again.
