Have you ever wanted one of those 'family secret recipes' but then say " ... because you are such a good friend, I'll share it with you". If so, then this is the recipe for you.

It is a traditional cole slaw but with the added twists, produces a variation that will 'wow' your guests.

At first, the dressing will seem too dry but as time evolves, the moisture from the cabbage will be released so make it as early in advance as possible, if not early in the day.

I have increased the wet ingredients for larger heads of cabbage, and in some cases, doubled them.

The dry ingredients are strong and have a slight kick so don't be afraid to half them in the future. You still get a unique tasting slaw.

I use the kitchen aid slicing attachemnt with the small slicing cone for the cabbage and the large crinkle cut for the carrot. Using the slicing cones, you can produce this slaw in about 20 minutes with a texture that rivals professional slaws.

To date, 5 friends now use "my secret family recipe" and we laugh eveytime they bring it to a bbq and "share thier family recipe"

This is so easy if you get the pre-shredded coleslaw mix in your produce department....so easy to throw together at the last minute and tastes so fresh!! One of the best cole slaws I've ever had!!

We have made the recipe twice with Bobby's Pulled Pork sandwiches from his City Grill show, everyone asks for the recipe ! I cut back a bit on the celery salt. Very good !

I loved this just as the recipe stated. I hate too sweet cole slaw. However, since my family likes it sweet I could just take out their portion and add more sugar. Everyone was happy!

WOW. WOW. WOW. First off, I dont like coleslaw. Never have...until now. When I caught the show I was very intrigued by the ingredients for the dressing. I love colemans mustard powder so I decided to try it. It was awesome. Even my 2 1/2 year old twins gobbled it up. Now that is saying alot right there. Cant wait to have it again.

The Spanish onions made it a little too hot for me. The second time I made it, I used 1 tablespoon of Spanish onion and a table spoon and a half of white vinegar. It also tastes better the next day. I have done it this way a dozen times or so and keep some in the fridge all time.
