I made this for my 20 something kids and they didn't leave any for me. I'll have to double the recipe next time so that I can hide a bit from them. Love the citrus and the fresh parsley!! I've used Madras Curry Powder in the can before and found it to be super salty. I went to the local Indian grocery and they gave me Madras Curry Powder from India - no salt added. If you aren't lucky enough to have a local Indian grocery, then, Penzeys carries a salt free Hot Curry Powder that you can order online. Stay away from that little silver can with all that salt!! Make this recipe!! Your children will thank you.

Check out 'dulcet' madras curry. Even though this is a vegetarian dish - the madras curry is glutten-free and 100% natural and can be used to stir fry veggies, chicken or shrimp. Really makes this dip but agree that the salt needs to be reduced. Hope this helps!

This recipe was easy and fun to make. The blend of ingredients was perfect and a delight to my taste buds! It was just the right amount of tangy, spicy, salty, and crunchy. The recipe called for just the right amount of lemon and spices. The pita chips were a perfect compliment. I added parmesan cheese to the pita chips. I"m taking it for my lunch this week.

Absolutely perfect combination of spices and citrus. Delicious and
refreshing treat. This is my go-to dip. I occasionally modify by replacing parsley, curry, cayenne and lemon with cilantro, cumin, chipotle and ancho chile powders, smoked paprika and lime.

I was not impressed with this recipe - way too much curry powder flavor & not a very nice texture either. Mine wasn't spicy at all - cayenne pepper isn't very spicy. Won't be making this again.

Super easy to make and so delicious! We now make this at least once per week with red kidney bean curry and rice.

I ate the whole bowl. I didn't have the Madras curry so substituted with a lemongrass curry. Also added sesame paste about 1 tbls.

Very easy and fun dip to try with chips and veggies! The only thing I substituted was regular curry powder because I did not have the Madra's curry powder. The little kick of cayenne was a perfect end note to each bite. It was a hit at my party and I personally couldn't stop munching on it!

I usually love Giada's recipes but this one tastes overwhelmingly like salt! Madras curry powder contains salt so adding the curry powder AND the kosher salt is like adding 3 1/2 teaspoons of salt - yuck! I will try this recipe again...WITHOUT the salt as I think the ingredianets have the potential to make a tasty and healthy dip!
