I've made this many times, and it's always amazing! I use a flatbread from Trader Joe's and heat it right before serving. Also, when I saw Flay make this originally he added a spoonful of honey. I recommend adding the honey, it really deepens the flavors and adds a hint of sweetness, delish!!

This was not a good combination for me. It probably was mostly my own fault because of a substitution I made, but I am really surprised that it would make THAT much difference in the taste. I did not have any roasted garlic on hand and didnt want to wait to make it myself, so I just used less amount of raw garlic in the hummus and it was not pleasant at all with the caramelized onions. The tahini also did not meld well with the onions. Separately, everything tasted good, but when I combined it on the naan it was just not a good melding of flavors - especially the hummus and onions. So I give this a 3 rating admitting it is mostly my fault it didnt turn out, but I do think there should be SOME flexibility in a recipe without it turning out so unappealing.

I made this recipe for a housewarming party and the recipe was horrible. I'm a great cook and this was a true disappointment. I made a bunch of appetizers of my own recipe and this was the only one that was left last night that no one really touched. I seen Bobby make this on his grilling show and decided to make it since it looked good. There was just something wrong with the white bean hummus recipe. I kept needing to adjust the seasoning over and over again and by the time I was done, I added a juice of a whole lemon! I was actually going to throw the whole recipe in the garbage but I worked my butt off caramelizing the onions and just decided to serve it anyways. I should've went with my instincts and threw it out because no one ate it at my party...what a waste.

Ok, if you can eat the dip from a spoon...you know it has to be good. Soo
easy to make...I skipped the anchovies (not one of my favorite foods.
Great snack (serve with fresh veges or party food...with pita bread or
    chips. A keeper!

Even though I never did get my onions to carmelized, this came out great. It looked and tasted wonderful and really was a perfect party food. I'll make it again!
