These beans are delicious, and so much better than any cooked on the stovetop. We only made several changes: I added some red pepper flake to the olive oil with the lemon zest and let the olive oil infuse for about 30 minutes before tossing the beans in it. In addition, we substituted slivered almonds for hazelnuts. Finally, we probably cooked ours five minutes longer than the recipe called for because we wanted ours more tender. They're a wonderful side dish--and very easy!

This is a go to recipe for holiday dinners. It presents very well and is easy to make. The shallots, lemon zest and garlic add a ton of flavor without being heavy. It seems like a lot of garlic, but I wouldn't lower the amount.

A delicious recipe.....I just made this for our progressive dinner group. It
was enjoyed by all. I have made this with cooked ham but last night I used proscuitto ham which was wonderful. This is a ver simple recipe thatis dinner group quality.

It's not easy to dress up green beans, but this has enough flavor to serve as a side dish for a dinner party. I used pecans instead of hazelnuts since I'm not a big fan of the latter.

Very good - didn't put the hazelnuts in but used a mix of veggies - green beans, red, yellow and orange pepper strips and broccoli - so good.

Yummo! I made this for christmas and my brother in law noticed a "new dish" on the table (ie: the garlic roasted green beans. It was a HUGE hit. I used walnuts instead of hazelnuts and per request of my husband I added water chestnuts. Everyone loved it! Will definetly be serving this more. Thanks Bobby

YUM! I have been making this recipe in various forms for several years. My family's favorite addition is red peppers. I do add some extra shallots as all of us enjoy the sweet roasted flavor. It is always a huge hit on my dinner table!

I added more shallots and cut out the hazelnuts and it was delicious! My husband isn't a lover of veggies, but he really liked this.
