i made this salad without the shrimp and while it was good, it was not a stand-out salad and more than likely will not make it again. I did not think it rated five stars. That being said, perhaps it is better with shrimp.

Delightful! Just made this for lunch and loved it! I had a box of orzo in the pantry. It made so much that I gave a nice portion to two neighbors knowing they would really enjoy it. The dejon vinagrette is so good - especially with sauteed shrimp. Was so quick and easy to prepare and surprisingly tasty. - Inexpensive too as I had most of the ingredients on hand and bought smaller shrimp on sale. This is a keeper for light dinners, easy girlfriend lunches and wonderful "leftover" for tomorrow (if there is any "left" "over"????.

Very Tasty! Lived up to all the reviews I read. Cooked it with a box of chicken broth and water. Topped the plates with grilled shrimp kabobs--very pretty! Served with Pinot G. wine and warm sourdough bread for my husband. Next time I will use the whole orzo box because I really don't ever use orzo. A keep'er for sure...

Simple, fast and flavorful! Bobby, this is a brilliant recipe. I chose this recipe for a baseball game potluck only because it contains all ingredients that I had on hand. In the interest of time, I cooked the shrimp on a grill pan indoors but otherwise followed the recipe. Threw it in the cooler but it can be served hot, room temperature or cold. The flavors blend beautifully after a few hours. Even more delicious the next day so it can be a "make ahead" dish. Definitely a "keeper" in my recipe collection.

This recipe was so good, I ate it the next three days as there was enough left over. My family of four loved it. Absolutely will be making this again. I did not deviate from the recipe, although I did cook the orzo in 50/50 water and chicken stock instead of just plain water. Served warm, it is a great side dish or main course.
