Ingredients

  • 12 fresh apricots, pitted and halved
  • Vegetable oil
  • 4 ounces bittersweet chocolate, melted
  • 1/4 cup slivered almonds, toasted and chopped

Directions

Heat grill to high. Brush apricots with oil and grill, cut side down, until golden brown, about 1 1/2 minutes. Turn over and continue grilling for 1 minute. Transfer to a serving plate and drizzle with melted chocolate and almonds.

    This has become one of my favorite summer desserts. So simple & yummy! I've been grilling peaches the same way & they turn out just as good and in fact, hold up to the grill little better. I use dark chocolate to serve to the ones watching weight because it's delicious, filling, but a non-guilty dessert.

    This is an awesome recipe! Sweet, chocolaty, with a nice crunch from the almonds.
    Too bad half my apricots fell through the rack onto the coals! I suggest using some kind of grill pan.
