this was not good. I like most of Flays recipes. Not this one.

I was really happy with this recipe! It is very easy, and tastes great! I would definitely use less green peppercorns next time, or substitute capers instead, as the peppercorns pack quite a punch, and Flay uses a ton of them in here!

I was having a BBQ and guests were on their way. I had a bunch of fresh asparagus with no idea of what to with them, so I quickly went online to get an idea. I came across this recipe - I didn't have the peppercorns but did have capers (as per a reviewer suggestion, didn't have plain white wine vinegar but had a garlic, piemento version and didn't have "real" dijon mustard but had a "sharp & creamy" mustard instead -- close enough so I went to work. I put some EVOO and salt on the asparagus, grilled them with some of the other items already grilling and made the vinaigrette. Guess what? RAVE reviews, especially for the vinaigrette that can be used on anything. This one is in the keeper file!

I tried the peppercorns the first time and they were just too hot, so I substituted capers and everyone loved it. I also steamed the asparagus and saved the grill time. Leftovers even tasted excellent the next day, just be careful not to over cook the asparagus. Great taste and a nice complement to the veggie.

Made this last pm using frozen asparagus spears from Auldi (a steal at $1/99/lb. Placed frozen spears on olive oil coated baking sheet, tossed with evoo, Kosher salt and fresh ground pepper to taste, put under broiler on high for 4-5 minutes and VOILA! Scrumptious! The vinigarette pairs wonderfully with this veg. Served with Giada's honey mustard crusted pork loin roast. YUM!

Easy to make. Recommend skewers for the asparagus. Great side dish.

Excellent and so easy. We didn't have any green peppercorns, so I grated a touch of parmesan Reggiano on the asparagus after adding the vinaigrette. It was delicious. My wife said "this is a Christmas recipe that we can do last since it's so quick." The first thing that came to my mind instead of the peppercorns wereI capers also.

This is a regular at our house now. We found the green peppercors at a local italian grocery, but not in our mainstream grocery store. We have made this with the green peppercorns, capers and without either and love it all three ways. When using the green peppercorns, we do back off of the recipe just a little bit as they can be a little overbearing on the other fantastic flavors. Another great sauce from Bobby!
