So, I started cooking about 3 years ago while I was in college (after watching Throwdown for the first time. Since then my cooking skills have grown a bit, though I've never had any instruction outside of the Food Network, so most of the 'fiiner points' of cooking elude me.

ANYWAY... I just got a copy of 'Boy Meets Grill' for my birthday, along with a new charcoal grill, and one thing I read in there was Bobby saying 'why not grill it?', which got me thinking about my favorite foods that aren't typically grilled - namely buffalo wings.

I put my rather small thinking cap on and tried to think of how to make grilled buffalo wings taste good, and I though a nice chipotle sauce would be awesome. I thought I was a genius! Then I came here and voila, it's already been done.

I've cooked these 3 times since finding this recipe, and they are amazing. I keep telling myself 'Self, you need to at least come up with a variation on these to make it more interesting', but I honestly don't know if they could get any better than they already are.

    Highly recommended.

Great wings, but with all Bobby Flay recipies hold back on the red wine vinegar. I used one cup RWV and added two extra tbsp chipotle one extra tbsp dijon, and one extra tbsp honey. Great combo of hot, tangy, and sweet. Maybe the best wings I have ever had. I have some of Bobbys cookbooks and what I have learned is add less, and then more to taste.

Made these today and my family loved them. Hubby said they were my best wings yet! Great flavor. Think I'm going to make them again for the 4th of July. Thanks Bobby

These are the best wings I have ever had! My husband did a great job grilling and I made the sauce. I didn't know how aromatic chipotle was. I now crave these all the time. We made them for the first time last week and this week we are making them again. Love this recipe.

This was a great recipe and the chipotle sauce was so good that I now make it all alone using it on Pizza, chicken, and everything that needs hot sauce. I even made some for a neighbor at their request.

If you are looking for a good smokey chicken wing, this is your best bet!

The red wine vinegar is way to strong, so i reduced mine to 1/2 cup. In reading the other reviews I added more honey. Also I used chicken thighs & legs instead of wings. For more of an entree size.

I just made the sauce (not the dip and it was a HIT at a party. Everyone raved about the cilantro, as well. I will be making these for our Superbowl Party for sure!

These were really pretty good. Maybe would be a 5, but I didn't have a chipotle chile! and had to substitute jalepeno -- which I put into the food processor to puree. We also used non-fat plain yogurt and strained it for the dip -- the dip was still excellent. I just would have liked more heat, and I am gueesing that was the chipotle substitution.

I have made these twice and have tweaked the recipe to our taste. First, reduce the vinegar to 1 cup, secondly, the drumette portion of the wing is much better to use than the whole wing and third, reduce the mixture before adding the butter. Lastly, I increased the honey in the recipe to give it more of a sweet/smoky/spicy flavor. Received a good response to these wings at our 4th of July party so will more than likely make them again.
