The recipe for the sauce for the wings was okay, the amount of red wine vinegar was too overwhelming. But adding more honey and more chipolte paste made it taste a lot better. Couldn't find ancho chile powder in our local store, added New Mexico chili powder instead. Also, let the sauce simmer for about 10 to 15 minutes first. The vinegar won't be as overwhelming.

We used boneless/skinless chicken breast with this recipe and it was very good! We used the hot sauce mixture and brushed it on while grilling and topped it with the blue cheese sauce. We will make it again soon!

I make this all the time with some minor tweaks. First is to only add 1 c of vinegar and second to put WAY more honey than called for. I probably put 1/3 of a cup in. Let it simmer and reduce for a while and then add the butter. My daughter (7 will do anything for these wings. The sauce is okay, but I like them just plain with no sauce. If you reduce the vinegar and up the honey.. it's amazing. Even if you add all the vinegar.. just let the sauce simmer and reduce and it will be thick. :

This brings wings to a whole new level. I live in the south were frying and tossing in hot sauce and butter is king. This topped it all while tailgating. Charcoal gives it great smoky flavor and the sauce is spot on with hot and sweet. If you are at a game to tailgate or at home to watch a game with friends it is always a show stopper... I've been making this recipe for the past 3 football seasons.

I brought these wings to a pot luck picnic at work. They were a HUGE hit. I grilled them first, and crisped them up in the broiler. The sauce was not too spicy, so I may add more chipolte next time, but I got lots of compliments. This is a keeper

I baked the wings in the oven for 35 minutes then threw them in the slow cooker with the chipotle sauce for 4 hours and the chicken just fell off the bone. We used this recipe for a party we had last month and they were gone in an hour. The comments we got were that they were not overpowering but still had enough zip and a ton of flavor. Next year, we'll have to triple our servings!!

Wings tasted great - dipped wings in the hot sauce a couple of times towards the end of cooking and finished on grill.
The Blue Cheese dipping sauce was too chunky I thought - next time I will run the ingredients through the blender first.

Did not care for the hot sauce as it was to runny - didnt have enough body for me. I thought the bleu cheese sauce was boring and lacked flavor. The combination of yogurt and bleu cheese did not work for me.

I wasn't impressed with the sauce at all. I love bobby flay and will always keep trying his recipes. But I'm sad to say that it was a little disappointing.
