We loved the taste of this recipe, we just didn't like the idea of eating steak that was covered in olive oil, it seems really unhealthy. I cut down on the oil quite a bit but it still seemed very decadent. Not the recipe to make if you are trying to eat healthy.

This is one of my new "favorite-steak" recipes. I used NY strip steak because I couldn't find the shell steak. I used Cento pure olive oil. The xtra-virgin oil might have been too strong for some people. The steak was full of flavor, tender and all it needed to complete the meal would be some sharp cheese, crusty bread and a light green salad.

I used basil instead of the parsley.

We thought this was a great and easy recipe. I only made half the garlic and parsley oil and it was plenty. We will make it again

This recipe has a great foundation, but it needs more flavor! When I marinate my steak I make a mixture sort of like this one, except I add LEMON and lots of it. For anyone that wants to try this, I suggest just mixing oil, finely chopped parsely and garlic finished with 1 juiced lemon, or more if you love lemon like me. And then let the steak marinate in that. I promise you a beautifully flavored steak that is moist and just delicious! Sorry Bobby!

It can be a bit too salty depending how you use the ingredients. But then again, Brazilian style tends toward more salty flavors and my friends still ate it up.

I tried this with some fine Angus steaks. There was no improvement in the taste. I did taste a lot of "green" (must have been the parsley. Why mess up a good quality steak with anything but a little salt, pepper, and garlic. I don't know what they do in Brazil, but in Texas the steak stands on it's own flavor.

This is good, but not "wow" like most of Bobby's recipes. I much prefer his Chimmichurri (Argentian steak--that one is wow. This is great for the no fuss cook.
