I had a Hemingway Daiquiri in a retro-type bar in Carpenteria and KNEW I had to find a recipe. Go to a good liquor store and get the Marachino Liquor. It's NOT like a cherry liquor, so it's critical. The combination of the grapefruit and the Maraschino Liquor are what makes this cocktail absolutely friggin amazing. Beautiful rendition and thanks Bobby for a winner.

I thought it was great even though we didn't have the cherry liqueur. We just used simple syrup instead and even added some grapefruit bitters. This is almost like the original daiquiri but with grapefruit! YUMMY!

but I found this to be a waste of good liquor. Not drinkable.

Make sure when making this drink the grapefruit juice is not too bitter. If your using bottled, Ruby Red is the best otherwise use a fresh grapefruit.
