Just what I have been looking for.
I have tried several hot wing recipes, but I wanted a vinegar-based recipe. This is what I have been looking for. The chipotle and ancho flavors are much better than just a tabasco sauce. The first time I made these exactly as directed. The next time I fried the wings "naked" (without breading), but I added the ancho powder to the glaze. It's a toss-up--both are fabulous. I double the glaze recipe made with two tablespoons of chipotle, pour half into a jar, and add more chipotle to the pan. Then there is enough for two or three meals--half is mild for my husband, and half is hotter for me. I never use dipping sauce with wings, but I might try it sometime.

Smoke..is good
Love the nice smokey flavor of the sauce. I have made the sauce twice aready! Only downside, I have a small fryer so it did take quit some time to get all the chicken cooked.

These were DA BOMB!
I'm a caterer, and I've made various wings that haven't made me ashamed. But I decided to make these today for my 9 year old's little league team (or rather, I decided to make them for the parents in the bleachers). And I believe I can throw out all my other wing recipes. These were incredible! I made a few very slight changes (because I always taste as I go), and maybe since I doubled the recipe, I found the sauce a little vinegary. Hence, I added another tbs of honey and 1 tbs of tomato paste. Perfection! Also, my local Whole Foods was out of Cabrales blue cheese, so I went with a Danish Blue that crumbled well and I knew to be good in dips. The combination of flavors was something I wouldn't have expected to find in a lowly chicken wing. Thank you, Bobby!

Great Wings
They loved them on Mothers Day. Baked them instead of frying on a lightly greased baking sheet. At 375 degrees, 30 minutes and then turn them for 10 minutes more. I had to triple the recipe for the wings, 6 lbs., and doubled the blue cheese dip but it was loved by all.

AMAZING!
I made these wings for every family gathering this summer! Everybody LOVES them! They are easy to make and great for people to pick on while the main course is grilling. Dipping sauce is absolutely wonderful and a definite must. Wings have a great flavor and just the right amount of heat to make them perfect for everyone. I feel like a professional chef when I serve then because they look so wonderful too! Thank you Bobby for your delicious recipe! I will definitely continue to serve them!

Best wings EVER!
We love these wings! When we first made them, we were a little weary of the chipotle...but they are AWESOME! We never even make the yogurt sauce because they are just so good by themselves. Now that we are familiar with the recipe we use extra chipotle in adobo for a little extra kick.

tangy and tasty
We loved these wings. Finger licking good. I loved the sauce and thought it would be good on ribs. Spicy ad sweet, smokey and spectacular. My store did not have Ancho chili, so we used California Chili powder. I don't know if that is even similar, but we LOVED THEM.

Mother's Day Fun
This recipe was excellent. My daughter and I made these for Mother's Day appetizers and had so many that we didn't need any dinner. Fun to make and were wonderful. We did add a little of the ancho chili powder to the flour mixture for a little extra kick which worked great. Blue Cheese Yogurt Sauce was an excellent addition. Thanks Bobby!

Very good! Although I add about a teaspoon of Dave's Insanity hot sauce and cayenne pepper to the flour - we like it HOT! But it was easy and just better than the bar food my husband loves.

SO GOOD
Best wings ever. I was skeptic at first and even as I sat down and smelled them because of the vinegar. But oh man - totally worth it! I LOVE wings and I crave these babies everyday. Bobby should have one this throwdown!

THE BEST EVER HOT WINGS
I tried these and my daughter and I loved them, my husband doesn't eat really hot spicy wings, but he tried them and said if there was ever a real receipe for hot wings it was this one. A real winner. If you cant find the ancho and new mexico chilli try your mexican gocery store or the locate groc. store has the dried chillis just chop them finely and puree your sauce like I did. Thank You, Bobby

Good flavor for wings
I enjoyed these wings. They were not as spicy, as I hoped, but they did have a unique flavor.

YUMM!!
Everyone LOVED these! I wish they had more heat instead of chipotle flavor, but they were still really good. I absolutely LOVED the blue cheese yogurt dressing! I will be making the dressing again for everything!

Fantastic!!!
I made these for the Superbowl, and believe me they are excellent. Living in Tucson, I was able to find all the exact ingredients, and I think that's crucial. These wings have a slow, smoky burn and a depth of flavor that is just the best. I highly recommend. We didn't even bother to try some of the other recipes we were interested in, this was so good. I did have to visit the farmer's market to find the Ancho Chile powder, but everything else I found at the grocery store.
