This recipe has a lot of great flavor! I only marinaded for about 2 hours (just lack of time and the chicken picked up the flavors of the marinade nicely! We definitely make it again.

I didn't want to grill, so I tried cook the chicken in the pan as well as in the oven, and the outcome from the oven was far nicer. When I pan cook the meat, the sauce easily burned and making it kinda hard to clean. It also left some tar on the meat, and I don't know why but the meat was saltier when I pan cooked it. On the other hand, when I cooked the meat in the oven, the sauce did not burn, and it tastes quite similar to chicken bbq that I had in Korean restaurant. I added some sugar as well, but not sure if it's absolutely necessary.

I LOVE this recipe! Made it for our Memorial Day cookout. Everyone could not get enough. I was glad I doubled the recipe. Next time I think I will make the marinade a little sweeter.

Really, really good! I doubled the recipe, but used 1.5 tbl (not 2 tbl of the chili. It was hot, but not too hot for us.

Saw this on TV, husband asks for this meal every week! Best to marinate overnight and I added a little sesame oil and a bit more spicy sauce. Recently served this at a family get together and is already a family fav!

This is NOT the recipe shown on the TV show, which I recorded on DVR. On the show, he does not use sesame oil, sesame seeds, or the ratio of soy sauce (the one on the show had very little soy, this is the main ingredient - 1 cup - here to the garlic, chili paste, etc. In the show, the chicken is reddish, with nice bits of garlic. Also, in the show, he finishes it off with some cilantro.

I had this Korean chili paste in my fridge forever and didn't know what to do with it. I used it in a stir-fry once and it came out so-so. When I saw this recipe from Bobby, I decided to give it another shot. And it came out great. So easy to make the marinade, it literally took me less than 10 mins. And another 15 mins on the grill, it's done! Easy and quick enough for weekday dinner.

Worked out great! And it is pronounced GGO-CHU-JHANG ;-

(The double "G" in "GGO" means to pronounce it almost as strong as a "k".

My husband saw this episode and wanted to try the recipe out. Instead of using the same korean chili paste Bobby uses, which I couldn't find, I used Sambal Oelek. You can find it at any grocery store and the chicken turns out delicious with it. We make it at least once a week. I use the other half of the mix to marinate and grill green onions and red bell peppers....and whatever is left goes on steamed white rice. It's easy and delicious!
