Saw this on TV, husband asks for this meal every week! Best to marinate overnight and I added a little sesame oil and a bit more spicy sauce. Recently served this at a family get together and is already a family fav!

This is NOT the recipe shown on the TV show, which I recorded on DVR. On the show, he does not use sesame oil, sesame seeds, or the ratio of soy sauce (the one on the show had very little soy, this is the main ingredient - 1 cup - here to the garlic, chili paste, etc. In the show, the chicken is reddish, with nice bits of garlic. Also, in the show, he finishes it off with some cilantro.

I had this Korean chili paste in my fridge forever and didn't know what to do with it. I used it in a stir-fry once and it came out so-so. When I saw this recipe from Bobby, I decided to give it another shot. And it came out great. So easy to make the marinade, it literally took me less than 10 mins. And another 15 mins on the grill, it's done! Easy and quick enough for weekday dinner.

Worked out great! And it is pronounced GGO-CHU-JHANG ;-

(The double "G" in "GGO" means to pronounce it almost as strong as a "k".

My husband saw this episode and wanted to try the recipe out. Instead of using the same korean chili paste Bobby uses, which I couldn't find, I used Sambal Oelek. You can find it at any grocery store and the chicken turns out delicious with it. We make it at least once a week. I use the other half of the mix to marinate and grill green onions and red bell peppers....and whatever is left goes on steamed white rice. It's easy and delicious!

I marinated chicken breasts and sauteed them in a pan as I don't have a grill. I included a bit of the marinade/dipping sauce in the pan to thicken up so I could serve over rice. While good and I will try again with a few changes, the marinade made the chicken very salty. I did add more spice to fit my personal preference and would suggest for anyone to try the dish, just watch the sodium levels.

This was a great tasting and easy to prepare receipe. I added more of the korean spicy sauce just because the receipe wasn't spicy enough.

My husband and I has made this twice already both times adding a little more Korean Chili Paste because we like it spicy. The first time it marinaded for about 4-5 hours and the second time about 24 hours. I absolutley suggest the 24 hours... so much more flavor and everyone loved it! Made it with the rice he prepared with this show which was also a big hit! AWESOME...

It's actually gojuchang, or 고추장 in Korean. If you paste the latter into Google, you'll see photos of what gojuchang looks like and various brands.
