They tasted good, but I use 2 lb. beef and 1 lb. pork, salt, pepper, cumin, 1 medium very finely chopped onion, 1 egg and 1/2 cup club soda.
Form the burgers, leave in the fridge for 4 hours ucovered,
Turn over after the 2 -nd hours to create a light skin.
    Grill as usual.
These hambergers are extremely juicy even if you reheat them.

Just made this burger last night for our "Movie Night" friends get together and boy was it a hit! Several of our guests said it was the best burger they had ever had. We had one friend (who does not eat bread who had the burger without the bun and it looked like a work of art with the burger, avocado relish, tomato and watercress (in fact that is how my husband and I had the left over burgers this morning for our "brunch" - his without cheese, mine with the cheddar. Delicious! I followed the recipe exactly, and all of the flavors worked so well together. One friend said she would not have thought to put watercress on a burger, but boy did she love it. I think even my "traditional burgers only please" dad might like this burger. Can't wait to make it again!

I made this last night and was a little disappointed. I made the avocado relish and used 1 lime and it must have been a really juicy lime because all my boyfriend and I could taste in the relish was lime, which was a turnoff. The monterey jack cheese didnt give much flavor either, I would recommend using pepper jack! I gave this a 3 star because although I didnt like it very much, my boyfriend liked it (but he doesnt complain about anything! :

We made this recipe to a T and we are not ones to typically stray from the typical mayo, ketchup and iceburg lettuce.....however this was a delightful and simply tasty substitute for our normal burger. Fabulous and I cannot wait to share with others! The avocado spread was DELICIOUS!

I made this burger a couple weeks ago, the burger itself was very juicy as was expected with using ground chuck. We used a horseradish cheese which was also good but my only complaint was how the jalapeno heat in the relish took over the taste of the meal. I also think the burger should be seasoned with more than the salt and pepper. Overall we enjoyed it very much. Thanks

We made these burgers for our 4th of July family get-together and they turned out PERFECT. I had never put watercress on my burger ... what a wonderful alternative. We hate iceberg and typically use romaine. The patty was nice and juicy and the whole thing was just incredibly delicious. BTW, to ensure you don't end up with a flat meatball it is important to use the cut of meat suggested and to depress the middle of the patty a little before grilling.
