Yes she was a typical "mainer" Have you ever gone to a Hanniford's grocery? The women knock you over with their carts, no sorry or excuse me just push you out of the way. without lobster, mainers might not be so cocky.
having said that, if your palate only knows lobster and butter, of course you can't appreciate what bobby offered which was very good-just too sophisticated for the rude mainer taste.

Two points: the first is that I just watched the show and cannot agree with the criticism of Lynn. I saw nothing in her demeanor that was rude and I think she is an excellent ambassador for the State of Maine. My second point is that Bobby's recipe is geared for a palate that really doesn't like the taste of lobster. I've had lobster from Delaware to Nova Scotia and I would never order his "club sandwich". Using garlic, vinegar, and onion can only obscure the lobster. It's a very delicate flavor and he has shown no respect.

Question about the bread recipe....it appears from instructions that this will make only one loaf of bread using either a 12 x 4 inch or 5 x 4 inch pan. Since the recipe calls for 8 cups of flour and many eggs and butter, this seems to be an error. Looking forward to a correction in order to prepare this recipe. I am required to rate this recipe but since I am waiting for a correction and know it will be delicious, I rate it high. Thanks....Martha

I would like to say as a person who has grown up in Maine, that I am sorry Lynn misrepresented the way Maine people really are! We aren't that rude! Because of Lynn's rudeness, I will never eat at her restaurant. Also I would like to say that my husband loved your sandwich better than her's! He was the police officer down there watching the show. I would have tried it but I am allergic to shellfish! One thing I noticed on the show, is that people cook lobsters with the bands on! NOT GOOD! That ruins the taste of lobster! Just a little pointer from a former lobsterwomen :

Buttered, toasted brioche, good mayonnaise and celery are essentials. Bobby likes chipotle, I like curry powder. Lemon ,and or, red wine vinegar are integral. The rest is personal preference. Agree with Lynn, 86 garlic. Onion too. But Lynn, Bobby is absolutely right, gotta have celery.
