Extremely tasty beverage! Not the authentic Mai Tai however. Should be given a new name like Passionfruit Mystique! I found the passionfruit juice at whole foods & liquor store. It retails for about $8.50 in Texas. Very, Very Tasty. it has become my signature drink & neighborhood special....

I could not find passion fruit at my local supermarket, so I substituted Hawaiian Punch. Now, you can even find light Hawaiian Punch at the supermarket for people who are on a low-carb diet. I liked this version of the mai tai because it contained very few ingredients and was easy to make. I garnished the glasses with cherries and orange slices on toothpicks.

A tasty drink, but it isn't a Mai Tai!
