Searching for a "flavorful ham" Easter dinner I used this recipe. I could only find ancho chile "pepper", not powder and also used peach preserves vs. peach marmalade and it was excellent.

I made this last year and this year for Easter brunch and it was a hit both times (different guests each year! I was a bit nervous by the ancho chile pepper, but it created a lovely taste (not spicy/hot.

I placed fresh peaches , whole dried red chilies, mustard, Maple syrup and molasses in a blender and puréed until smooth. Then added enough brown sugar to make a paste. Spread it all over the ham and placed it on the grill for about an hour. real good

I used rasperry jam instead, and it was great. I'll bet whole cranberry sauce would be good, too.

It was so easy and tasty. I could not find the chili powder recommended, so I substituted a New Mexico chili powder. Came out just great.

I wasn't certain if the ham would get thoroughly cooked on the gril, so I simmered it in water in a pan first. The I followed the grilling direction, and it turned out perfectly and tasted so good!

This was a nice, tasty glaze for the ham steaks. The chili powder balanced well with the sweet flavors.
