I didn't make the frosting but I thought the cupcakes were awesome. Nice vanilla flavor, great texture, and moist. I made larger cupcakes but this will be my standard vanilla cupcake recipe from now on.

The cupcakes were good but the frosting wasn't for me. But I have to say I had fun making them!

These were fantastic. It also took me the full 12 minutes to bake, and they came out light and fluffy. The real vanilla beans add a lot to the flavor. The chocolate frosting is deliciuos. I will be using this in the future for all other cakes, cupcakes, and brownies. Really smooth and very quick to make.

Amazing. My minis took the full 12 minutes and regular cupcakes took 15 minutes. Will make again and again.

This is THE best chocolate frosting recipe I've found. It's creamy, rich, chocolately and most of all EASY!!!! I make it for other cake recipes and always get rave reviews.

A wonderful cake recipe! The frosting however was a bit dark. It tasted really good without the addition of the melted semisweet. The frosting took away from the taste of the cupcake. This cupcake needs more of a milk chocolate frosting.

finally! a yellow cake recipe that worked. Not too sweet, not too dry and it rose beautifully. Only thing I might change is to be sure and use a good quality vege. oil like sunflower oil, the cheap stuff ruins the taste of the cupcake. I made regular sized cupcakes and they took about 12 - 14 minutes to bake.

I've tried A LOT of chocolate frosting recipes and this is really good. I find myself making it over and over again. Every now and then I whip up some whipped cream and add that to make it a bit lighter and whichever way you make it, DELICIOUS!
