Ingredients

  • 2 to 3 tablespoons oil
  • 1 cup long grain white rice
  • 2 cups stock

Directions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Lightly brown the rice in oil in a 1-quart, ovenproof saucepan. Bring the stock to a boil and pour over the rice, take caution because this can create a lot of hot steam. Bake covered for 30 to 40 minutes, until rice is tender and fluffy.

Hooray! No more boiling over rice on the stovetop. Browning the rice in the oil prior to baking gives the rice a nice nutty... flavor which is complimented by the broth. We paired this with lemon chicken and it was a great match. I baked the rice for 40 minutes and it was perfectly done and fluffy.Read more
