I love cake and beside chocolate cake this is number one. What a great flavor combo and moist. Got to make this cake as the recipie states. Otherwise you cant give it a fair rating when your adding and subtracting ingredients.

Very tasty cake and great with the fruit and cream. It is moist by itself as well.

I added the soaked oats in with the wet ingredients, as normally wet with wet and dry with dry.

As a devout "FOODIE," healthy cook/baker and love Bobby Flay, this Oat Cake was delicious. I did use Splenda in place of white and brown sugar, lightened up the 1 stick of butter with light butter. I will use egg substitute in the future. This cake is full of flavor. I added 1/2 c. of: chopped toasted walnuts and sunflower seeds along with 1/2 cup of soy protein powder in place of the 1/2 c. of flour. I always use whole wheat flour - never white flour anyway. This cake can be customized for anyone following a low-fat/low or no sugar regimen!

This cake is very easy to whip up for any affair. The oatmeal I put in last, along with the fresh ground nutmeg. The flavor is excellent.

The recipe fails to indicate when the oatmeal is added into the mixture.
