I just made this for the first time. Let me preface this by saying I love hot foods. I mean really hot. This sauce is very good, but the first thing you get is chipotle The chipotle is the predominant flavor . I made this exactly as written, next time I will greatly reduce the chipotle in adobo. I am a new lover of mole sauce and the complexity that they have. This sauce would be more complex and balanced if the chipotle was reduced.

The mole sauce is amazing! The pickled onions were a nice touch as well.

Wow! As I was watching the show, my first thought was to buy Mole sauce to use with the remaining ingredients. After watching how passionate Bobby appeared about the sauce, I decided to give it a go. Boy, was I glad I did! I think I enjoyed making the sauce as much as Bobby and it certainly was the highlight of the burger. I couldn't decide what to slather the sauce on next! Well worth the effort!

Excellent mole! Well worth the effort. If you are having trouble tracking down the chile powders, please Google Pendery's and The Spice House. The former carries both the New Mexico chile powder and the Chile de Arbol, and the latter has some great Ancho chile powder. I tried earlier to post direct links for you, but this #(*$#^ web site refuses to host links...go figure.
P.S. I do not work for either of these outfits, but I've used both for years and they are truly good people. Great products, great customer support, and reasonable prices. Slainte!

This is so good! Defiantly worth it. Makes a big batch of mole for use later. We are hot fans and used a jalapeño instead of a habanero. The only spice we were not able to find was the ground chile de arbol so we left it out all together and it still turned out great.
