I was going to make the rolls but then I decided to make a loaf of bread out of it instead.
After I had melted the butter in the milk I realized that my bread machine couldn't handle 6 cups of flour so I halved the recipe. The milk, butter and sugar equaled 2 cups. I poured out 1 cup of the milk mixture. I used 2 eggs instead of 3 and used 1 tsp salt.
I put the ingredients in my bread machine--liquids first, then eggs, then flour, and had to add 1/3 cup of flour twice to get the dough to form a nice ball.
After the dough cycle I dumped the dough on a lightly floured suface and kneaded it slightly with the flour till it was no longer sticky. I placed the dough in a greased bread pan, spread it out a bit and put it in a warm place for 30 minutes to 1 hour (I didn't keep an eye on the clock. I let it rise till just above the lip of the pan. I preheated the oven to 350 and baked it for 10 minutes. Then I covered the loaf with foil and baked it another 10 minutes. It came out wonderful!
It's great recipe! Maybe I will try the rolls sometime.

THESE ROLLS WERE WONDERFUL - I MADE MINE IN MY BREAD DOUGH MACHINE ON THE "DOUGH" SETTING. JUST PUT ALL THE WET INGREDIENTS IN FIRST, THEN THE DRY. TAKE THEM OUT AFTER THE FIRST RISE AND SHAPE. THE ONLY GRIPE I HAVE - I'VE BEEN MAKING BREAD FOR A LONG TIME AND I CAN TELL YOU, BOBBY, HIMSELF, DID NOT MAKE THOSE ROLLS. FIRST OF ALL HE DIDN'T KNEAD THEM NEARLY LONG ENOUGH, AND THE SIZE OF THE ROLLS HE FASHIONED ON THE PAN WOULD HAVE BEEN GIGANTIC AFTER THE SECOND RISE/BAKE! HE SHOULD THANK GOD FOR COMMERCIAL BREAKS AND HIS WONDERFUL KITCHEN STAFF! WISH I WAS AS LUCKY! HA!

My kids beg me to make these rolls all the time. They are even wonderful the next day, cut in half and toasted. Thanks, Bobby!

I make bread from scratch all the time from an old family recipe, and this was a great surprise. Absolutely the best rolls I have ever had!

These rolls were a big hit!! I used some of them as buns for the BBQ meat I made. It takes time but very easy and very good.

I haven't always had luck with yeast bread receipes, but these turned out great. I made the dough in my food processor. My family loved them. These will become my signature rolls.
