I'm puzzled after reading the first three reviews because everyone seems to have been successful with this recipe but I wasn't. I am a seasoned cook so I'm at a complete loss for what went wrong. Maybe someone can give me suggestions for how to improve the results of my brownies because mine came out undercooked at 25 minutes and it wasn't until 50 minutes that the tester was decent enough to pull them out (and this has nothing to do with my not wanting them to be fudgy -- I love fudgy, but at 25 minutes they were completely raw. Then the peanut butter caramel (which came out perfectly when I first made it became very oily in the pan while cooking making the brownies one oily mess. My husband took one bite and spit it out saying that it felt like he was biting into a vat of oil. What's so puzzling to me, other than the fact that I typically love Flay's recipes, is that the other three reviewers had such great success. Help please because I too have been searching for the perfect brownie recipe (fudgy and decadent but with consistency and great texture and I was convinced this was it after watching the episode but have not found so thus far -- although I was also dying to try making the Chevre brownies that actually won the throwdown but those weren't listed for us foodies unfortunately... :
    Thanks!

I was so excited this recipe was finally posted! Made them yesterday, let them cool and cut them today. That way, they would be nice and set. They are, by far the richest brownies I have ever made. I have tried so many different brownie recipes on my quest for the perfect fudgey brownie & this rates at the top!!! The batter was extremely thick as the recipe stated. It kind of freaked me out....thick like cookie batter but the end result is incredible!! I had to spread it in the pan land really push it to the edges. This brownie is moist, dense, super rich, ultra-fudgey and not overly sweet. The peanut butter swirl is really good too! You will not be disappointed with this recipe!
    Bobby Flay is the best!
