We made this for our annual Port Tasting party. We had some picky eaters invited and they ranted and raved about this tasty recipe! Making it again for New Year's Eve.

I made this according to how Bobby prepared it on the show. It was hard slicing the flank steak in half evenly. However, the end result was amazing! Loved it. Mine didn't slice and plate up as pretty as in the picture. (fell apart when slicing It was also hard flipping the whole steak over on the grill. (probably why he changed the directions!

I made this recipe for my husband, and we both loved it. I also made the sauce, but I really didn't think it added anything to the meat. And my husband felt it was a bit of a waste of a good bottle of wine.

As other reviewers mentioned, I watched the show and was somewhat confused that the method on-line was different than the demonstration. I think I'll try it rolled next time just to see if I can figure out why it was changed; but unlike a previous reviewer, I will butterfly it and roll it while it's opened up. The flavors were wonderful, as anticipated, and as demonstrated on the show, it was really easy and quick to grill. I made the sauce reduction by didn't think it really added that much... soooo good on its own. Great summer dinner!

We love you Bobby! Great recipe and so impressive! Easy to prepare but once prepared, people will think I worked forever! Loved it..my husband loved it and I can't wait to make it for guests.
I did roll it (as the recipe called for even though on the show he grilled it flat but it still came out great.

    Thank you for sharing...

I enjoyed this. My husband wasn't much of a fan, as he's not big on Fontina cheese. Will do again for company.
