We love this Sangria! I replaced the o.j. and pomegranate juice with peach nectar(2 cups, I sliced an orange & one lemon, let sit for 24 hrs. Then added 3 sliced fresh peaches the next day.

I used oranges, apples, pears and blackberries and omitted the pomegranate seeds. It turned out great!! This was perfect for our Labor Day picnic!! Everyone loved this and I will use it again. This definitely needs the 24 hours to blend and mellow the brandy.

This was excellent Sangria! It really needs to sit for over 24 hrs to settle all of the flavors. Some guests thought it was strong and added ginger ale, sparkling water or 7-up to give it bubbles & calm the alcohol & pom flavors. Overall, it was excellent and I highly recommend it!

Like everyone else - this does deserve its five stars. Knowing my guests would love this sangria, I doubled the recipe and in addition tossed in two bags of frozen mixed fruit. Not only did it help keep the sangria cold but provided an excellent dessert.

We have tried several Sangria recipes in the past and never really found one we loved until now! This is a fantastic recipe with all the wonderful flavors you would find in an authentic restaurant. We used Tempranillo wine as suggested by one of the other reviews. We left out the Pomegranate Seeds and the Brandy. Make sure to seal the container like the recipe says so you can capture the fragrance of the fruit. Our guests loved it and we will keep the recipe and try it again soon.

I have made this sangria for two summer parties recently and have been overwhelmed with people raving about how great it is! In fact, at one party which had young 20 somethings through 60 somethings, everyone was fighting to get the last glass. I intend to make it again for my book club. I don't think it can fail to please!

I became a fan of sangria when I went to Spain last fall! I have been getting a litlte tired of red wine, even though we have an amazing cellar. Sometimes you want something different. This sangria is so GREAT! I added a touch more simple syrup and fruit juices and used blueberry/ pom juice because some of my crowd like their drinks a touch sweeter. And I must say, it's pretty perfect! I made 2 pitchers one saturday, then the following saturday, two more pitchers for another gathering. I will be making this all summer. Even my chardonnay-drinking mother-in-law had two glasses! One word of advise, make it a day ahead so the brandy has time to chill out a little. it's much smoother that way!
