I made this for Christmas dinner and it came out perfectly. I did not put the garlic in the meat (Dad hates too much garlic but rubbed Paula Deens house seasoning all over the meat and placed two yellow onions in the roasting pan. I made the Au Jus as stated and was concerned at first about it having too much of a wine taste but it was perfect. After we cut the meat I put the meat juices in the pan and it gave the Au Jus great flavor. I will serve this for Christmas dinner for years to come. Thank you Bobby Flay!!

I've never cooked a rib roast until this year and I have tried both AB's method and this recipe. This recipe wins the battle hands down. The only change I would suggest, if you and your guests perfer medium rare beef, pull the roast from the oven at 125? instead of 135?.

My Father-in-law rarely takes a second helping, but yesterday he made three additional trips for more roast. This one is a keeper.

I made this for Christmas dinner and it was a huge hit! I took the meat out at 130, which was too late -- it was a little overdone for prime rib in my book, but the meat was perfectly seasoned. The thyme au jus flavors are spot on, but it really needs to have the fat skimmed off. Overall, this is extremely easy but has the flare of a slaved-over dish. Can't wait for the leftovers!

I was really nervous about messing up an $80 cut of meat so I had never tired Prime Rib before but it sounded so simple. It was!! This recipe was so easy and it came out perfectly. I'll be making it again this year and won't change a thing.

While we loved the roast with the garlic, the au jus wasn't a hit. The wine gave it a almost bitter tast. Next time, I'll leave the wine out and just use the drippings and thyme.

The prime rib roast recipe surpassed my expectations. When guests spend the whole meald talking about the flavor of the roast and the Au Jus you know you've picked a winner. Thanks you Bobby Flay!
