WOW! My wife and i made this together and it was a blast. We were kind of worried at the begining with all the ingrediants that are not in a basic meatloaf. The balsamic glaze really gave us a scare but we went in head first I have to be honest i hate meatloaf but this one changed my opinion for life.

I have tried this recipe lots of times and it always turns out perfect. I pretty much follow the recipe except I add an onion. I also cook mine covered on 350 for 50 minutes, then uncover and put the glaze on and finish cooking uncovered for another 30 - 40 minutes. Make sure you have extra sauce for serving. I usually serve with mashed potatoes and chipotle corn.... yum

I have made this meatloaf for different friends and everyone just loves it. It is easy, tasty and we have even done our own Throwdown with another recipe and this wins hands down. Thanks Bobby!

My hub and I watched Bobby's throwdown on meatloaf - we loved his recipe and made it the next week - had to get some ingriedients. Why didn't I ever think to bake it on a cookie sheet so it's brown and crusty all over - no, I stuffed it into a baking pan - not any more! I'm making it again tonight for dinner - we love it! Go Bobby!

This recipe requires a lot of prep cutting veggies etc. for an average meatloaf. with the amount of time and effort, one could prepare a more tasty and elegant meal. I won't make it again.

Third time making and family loves it. Couldn't find ground veal so substituted ground chicken on 3rd effort. Wonderful, and won't hunt for veal anymore. I used Mother Lode BBQ gourmet sauce instead of balsalmic/catsup. Mother Lode is loaded with balsalmic, chipotle and thyme, so it was a wonderful glaze on top of this. Yummy & family couldn't get enough!!!

I have to say, it was fantastic...my mother HATES meatloaf and would not come over for dinner that night. My brother did come over and brought some home, my mother called me an hour later raving about how great it was and wished she had come over for dinner. Tonight my mother is coming over and wants me to make it for dinner..haha
It was really really good, one of the best meat loafs I have ever had!!!!

The meatloaf was terrific, but way too much of the balsamic glaze. As another reviewer suggested, I added the glaze only for the last half hour. I only mixed 1/4 cup each of ketchup and balsamic vinegar and that was plenty for the meatloaf. I also used 2 lbs of ground turkey instead of beef/pork/veal mix.

My wife hates meat loaf, fish and veggies are her things, until this one, she had three helpings and couldn't stop talking about it.
I found it fairly quick and easy to make, the glaze is fantastic!
