Tasty! I hadn't thought of onions in my gravy, wow. I use all natural sausage and brown it like ground meat. I too had to add a tablespoon of butter to the pan, not enough fat from the sausage. It's just me here, so I only used a few shavings of onion, 1-1/2 teaspoons of flour, and 1/2 cup skim milk (I'm dieting ha. I skipped the jalapeños. I added the sausage back in at the end. I served it open face, fried egg on top covered in sausage gravy and oven roasted home fries on the side. Then I took a nap. mmmm

I thought this sandwich was absolutely delicious, I had to eat two. I went ahead and whisked the onions and jalepenos into my eggs instead of the gravy, just a personal preference, all in all a very delicious breakfast sandwich I will definitely make this

Hey, in Texas we would have put some butter into the pan the sausage was fried in, then thrown in some flour, and whisked in milk until the right consistency. No onions, no jalapenos, and for sure no sage. We would just add some pepper and salt. I like you anyway though.

Now we're talking. I like plain old biscuits and sausage gravy, BUT this was a great twist. Call this gravy sauce if you want----it won't mind it's a fun, yummy breakfast.

Being a transplanted southern girl and watching this show made me think my grams would flip in her grave. The sandwich part was great but c'mon Bobby call it what it is and just say your gravy is a sauce. Great concept and try though.

I just used the muffins, sausage & gravy part. It was great.
Needed to add more fat to the lean sausage so used leftover pancetta drippings! Used heavy cream (because I was out of milk.
Next time I'm putting a poached egg on top!
    Thanx, Bobby!!!

This dish was really simple to make, however it tastes like you have spent alot more time in the kitchen. I only added a little white pepper to the gravy, but nothing is needed to complete this fantastic breakfast dish. I plan on making it again, soon.

A wonderful combination of flavors. The sage mellows out the jalapeno's heat in the gravy and creates a wondeful balance.
