I made this for company, and we all LOVED it. Especially the soba noodles - they were delicious. A pound is a LOT of noodles though, so I made more like one 10-12oz package (but kept the sauce the same, and that was more than enough for 4 people.

Also, I really hate cooking meat in a pan on my stovetop because you end up with grease everywhere, and setting off the smoke detector .... I think next time I would just sear it quickly on the stove top, and then finish it in the oven.

Salmon & Broccoli partnered well. Soba too salty and the most labor-intensive part of the whole meal. Next time, will use plain Soba Noodles with a little Soy Sauce or Brown Rice with Soy Sauce.

I really enjoyed the sesame-seed encrusted salmon, but felt the soy-based sauce was much too salty. I added a tablespoon of rice vinegar and a tablespoon of sugar, which I much preferred. The sesame recipe is excellent with tofu also

I enjoyed this dish, but found it to be a little oily. I will probably reduce the amount of oil in the noodles/broccoli next time. I used peanuts / peanut oil instead of hazelnuts / hazelnut oil, which turned out fine. The combination of flavors between the 3 dishes was a little strange at first, but tasted better by the end of the meal. The entire meal took about 30 minutes to prepare, which makes for a great gourmet meal in the middle of the week.

I really enjoyed this dish they only thing I would do diffrently is use a low sodium or light soy sauce for the noodles and add a little rice wine vinegar,my leftover noodles were a little too salty.
