I only use this recipe for the salsa. It is good, but not fantastic. It always seems like something is missing. I don't know. Maybe it's me. Needs more salt? Lime? But for fresh, fire roasted salsa, it's the best I've had yet. Maybe a little garlic salt or let it sit a day (like ICanBurnWater suggested--btw, I feel you. Me, too. Me, too

I love the salsa. It's simple and delicious. I can't remember the last time I bought bottled salsa. If you aren't grilling, just put the tomatoes cut side up in the oven to broil. Sprinkle with canola oil and garlic salt and broil until just turning brown. I find the flavors are better after sitting for a day. I occasionally add chili powder or cumin for a little change, but it's great just following the recipe.

Fabulous and is five stars with these two improvements: 1 Marinate the skirt steak in soy sauce, garlic, red pepper flakes, lime juice, and olive oil for 6-8 hours 2 make full on guacamole (Haas avacados, lime juice, garlic, jalapenos, minced onion, cilantro, olive oil instead of sliced avacados. The Roasted tomato salsa is fantastic! Thanks Bobby.

Really good! I had de-deeded the serrano chiles because I had never used them before and was worried about them being too hot. Next time I am going to leave some of the seeds in for a little more heat.

Absolutely DELICIOUS! A perfect weeknight meal when you want a break from the usual. I was able to put some rice on the stove top, and completely prep and make the skirt steak and salsa in the 25 minutes it took the rice to cook. So simple, but fabulous results. As for those who say the steak needs more seasoning, that's a matter of personal preference. If you're not planning on eating the salsa with the steak, then yes, I would say the meat needs a more complex seasoning. However, I think the salsa is so flavorful on its own that trying to muddle up the flavors with multiple spices on the steak would just ruin the dish. Thank you so much, Bobby!

Totally delicious, and easy to make. you can make the salsa earlier in the afternoon, and the meat doesn't even need to marinate! The salsa is really wonderful, and I will be making it again. I used 2 jalapenos instead of serrano peppers, as I had them growing on my patio, and it was pleasantly spicy, though not too hot. My son and husband loved this recipe!

Only made the salsa! It was better than the salsa my husband brought home from the local mexican restaurant! Fresh, light, refreshing!
