I havent cooked the ribs yet, but i've made the sauce per recipe and it tastes like mustard and not much else. The mustard should at least be cut in half. I'm not too worried about the rub as it seemed to be like rubs i've used for pulled pork that i smoke.

I don't have a smoker, so I added 4 tbsp liquid smoke to the mop. I put the mop in the bottom of the roasting pan, put the rack in, put the ribs on (making sure the liquid didn't touch the ribs, and tented it with foil, leaving a 7-8" gap between the foil and the ribs. Set the oven 220 degrees and cooked for seven hours. Then, since I have a gas grill, I put mesquite chips in foil with holes for the smoke to escape (manufacturer states how to do this on the bag. I slathered the sauce on the ribs and grilled for about 10 minutes each side. Absolutely amazing. Messy, but worth it.

The BBQ sauce is amazing! A little bit heat not too much which is perfect for me. I'm gonna save the rest of the sauce for BBQ chicken.

I did not like these ribs. They did not have a hickory nor a mesquite flavor. It is like eating Mexican food instead of southern bbq ribs.

Very very good recipe. The BBQ sauce is amazing and you will have extra which is fine for making BBQ chicken in the slow cooker during the week. The mop sauce was also very good.

The mop sauce keep the meat moist and succulent, and adds a great tang. The sauce is sweet and quite zippy. But the rub is just off the charts. Ribs were great chicken was wonderful. We did a pork shoulder with the rub and mop sauce. It was excellent.

The BBQ sauce is amazing! I will be giving up my other homemade bbq sauce for this one. Also i used regular chili powder instead of the ancho and it worked out just fine. Thank you Bobby

Hey i love seeing you on TV when your cooking against other cooks in you throw down show and you are a extremely gifted chef but i was wondering if you could bake as good as you can grill and other stuff. Theres a really really good cookie place in Estes Park Colorado and i think that would be a great showdown. Thanks!!!
