Always have a glass of cream liqueur with a good meal. Especially with roasted chicken or lamb. brings out the flavour.

I made this last night with a few adjustments and thought it was pretty good.

I added 3 tsp beef boullion (Better than Boullion brand to the sauce instead of salt and it added enough salt along with that great beefy taste that makes a sauce tangy. Next time I will only use 1/2 a small can of tomato paste, the full can made it too sweet for us. I also added a teaspoon of ground red pepper. I didn't know if a cubano pepper was actually a habanero or not so I used a jalapeno. With that much sauce, I wanted more spice. I also added 1/2 cup of chianti instead of water. I always like adding red wine to pasta sauce.

The only change I made to the meatballs was using gluten free, italian breadcrumbs and adding a heaping tablespoon of chopped shallot. The meatballs were fantastic.

We also used quinoa spaghetti. All in all a pretty good recipe to work with. Thank you!

I live out in the middle of nowhere...so veal and ground pork are considered exotic...so they are expensive....so I exchanged Hot ground Italian sausage...there is sweet/mild also....for the veal and pork....it came pretty darn good.

Children said they were even better than NYPD Pizza's meatballs.. only change was all ground sirloin instead of mix since I didn't have the other meats.

I read the recipe on line, thinking I could remember all the ingredients while shopping. Unfortunately, I missed bying one major ingredient...the onion. Thank goodness for the stash of dried onion in my kichen cabinet. The BEST meatballs I've ever had and LOVED the heat in the sauce. Definately plan to make this again...but will print the receipe next time!!! :

Great recipe for Meatballs and very tasty! On the other hand so many ingredients that it escapes "simple and unpretentious" I like these Meatballs but have had just as good with less ingredients. In this economy at least it is harder to afford to buy so many ingredients unless you have money to burn.

This is by far the best spaghetti and meatball recipe I have ever had. I have tried many recipes and this is the one. I have three very picky eaters and they too agree that it is the best . I don't know why you did not win the throw down . You have my vote . Thanks Bobby
