The Meatballs were REALLY REALLY good! definintly will use that recipe again! I did not add in the cubano peppers because I could not find them at my grocery store. If that really does help to dial the sauce down then add them! but if you cannot find them SKIP THE RED PEPPER FLAKES!! the sauce was too spicy for spaghetti. but im sure would have been very good without the red pepper flakes. add them to your heat preference but dont dump in the whole teaspoon right off the bat! you may regret it!!

Seriously people... for those of you complaining about the peppers you need to ADD them! Cubano peppers are a mild sweet pepper (like a Bell pepper... If you don't like the heat it's the chili flakes that you need to cut out or add less.

These meatballs were just okay. I used another reader's suggestion and fried a meatball ahead of time to tast it. I adjusted the seasonings, but I still think the meatball was just okay. I also added some ground italian sausage which added a nice flavor. Can't say I would make again. I think I like meatsauce better than meatballs.

I gave this recipe to my boyfriend so he could make the meatballs. When I got home from work that evening, I found the most tender, delicious meatballs waiting for me in the refrigerator. He doesn't cook often, but these turned out really, really nice!! (the kitchen was destroyed, but the meatballs made it worth the mess. We both give this one a five-star rating, and are keeping the recipe to make again. We don't have another recipe for comparision, but, we got this one and we're keeping it! Oh, if there were any changes, it was that we used 1# fresh ground london broil (I bought a ton of it when it was on sale, and 1/2# ground pork (with an acceptable amount of fat. Also used a fresh batch of homemade dried parsley. When it comes to meats, I almost always buy large cuts when they're ultra cheap, cut them into 1# portions, vacuum seal, and then grind as needed, or prepare some other way. (Its just me and the boyfriend at the house, and the 1# works well. And I think he may have used Panko bread crumbs...there was a trail of them all over the place. Hmm...

Adding sauteed onions to my meatballs brought the recipe to a new level. It's the best. I have received many compliments from family and friends. The smells in the kitchen just enhance the whole cooking at home process. No restaurant can duplicate this.

Everybody has different taste. You need to take your meatball mixture and fry a little tiny burger out of it. This way you can add more spices and adjust your salt taste before cooking all of them and calling them bland.

The meatballs were great, especially when you combine the recipes from the show. I used a little more egg, fry them to get a good crust and then simmer them in the sauce to cook them through.

They are great to cook in advance and freeze, great for parties, everyone loves them.

I agree with the other review this is bland, I had to keep adding basil and salt and some sugar and finally got it to taste half way edible. I didnt add the peppers either didnt want to eat mexican spaghetti. the meat balls tasted like the ones you buy in the grocery store bags. They were bland to. I like Bobby Flays recipes normally but not this.

I made this recipe for a group of friends and I can not begin to tell you how impressed they were!! My house smelled like an italian restaurant and the quality of the spaghetti and meatballs was by far the greatest I have ever made! My husband is already wanting me to make it again and I just made it last night!

Recipe was easy to follow, not hard at all, I just added a little vit more of garlic and double the portion of tomato paste to make it have a little more color, if you don't like spicy food, do not add pepper, it will make it hotter! the meats make a wonderfull combination, specialy the taste of the veal, they are fluffy and very good. I will make it again
