Not your ordinary chicken tacos! The recipe did make a large quantity of rub & the dominant flavor did seem to be cinnamon, but the chicken was very tasty. I should have added more BBQ sauce to the onions & will definitely peel them next time. The skins didn't come off terribly easy & those that did just got mixed in with the onions. The slaw was good, but I should have made it & let the flavors marry a little longer.

You'll never make ordinary tacos again! The flavor the spice rub crust gave the chicken was even better than we expected and the barbecued onions were the perfect addition. My husband preferred the poblano and I loved the cole slaw, so we just made them up to our preference and both agree they're a new favorite on the family menu!

This was an awesome hit!! I am not a fan of chicken in tacos or burritos , so I made all the sides except the guac and ate them all individually. My husband made it into a taco and couldnt believe he was eating a taco without CHEESE!!! LOL We also have never tried brown sugar or cinnamon in our spice rub for anything - but that was a total hit... Great to have new tastes.

I've tried many different chicken taco recipes from Food Network and Men's Health Magazine and this is the best thus far. Coleslaw was amazing and the BBQ onions nice spin from regular grilled onions. The spice rub is fantastic.
    Thanks Bobby!

Delicious! Skipped the coleslaw...because I'm lazy. Guacamole was awesome! Agree with others cinnamon was a little heavy...will cut it back a little next time I make this. A keeper for sure!

Easy and awesome. Per the other reviewers regarding the cinnamon, I decreased the amount to 1 tsp (down from 2. I think you would miss the nice sweet/spicy kick that makes this recipe a keeper if you omit it completely. Guacamole with roasted poblanos - amazing, will be making from now on!

I was worried I wouldn't like the cinnamon, especially after reading the reviews, but this was awesome!

All components of this dish were delicious on their own. I caramelized the onions instead of grilled them, and with the added barbeque sauce they had a great sweet flavor. The coleslaw was very tasty and added a great crunch to the tacos. The chicken by itself was really flavorful, a great combination of spicy and sweet. I will definitely be making this recipe again and honestly any form of tacos with this spice rubbed chicken is bound to be great.
