Awsome! My new favorite recipe. Can't wait to cook it again. I will prep the jam and yogurt ahead of time though next time.

Took MUCH longer to prep and cook than the 25 minutes listed above. I even had a couple helpers and still took about 40 minutes from start to finish for chicken, jam sauce and yogurt concoction. It was worth it, though. Absolutely delicious! I will make it again for sure, just allowing myself more time.

Loved this dish! I recently went to an Indian restaurant and the food was horrible. I wont need to go out anymore, I have found the dish to satisfy my cravings! I used low carb tortillas instead of the pita, still delicious. The spice is hot but the sauce cools it down nicely. I also made Bobbys cumin lime coleslaw to go with it, the bomb.

I have made this a number of times for family/friends in the Summer of 2011 and will again this Summer because it is enjoyed by all. The jam, simply put is out of this world good! The yogurt is a must have with this dish as it adds the cool soothing flavors that offset the slight heat and spice of the rub and jam. The jam takes some effort, however, worth all the attention - I have incorporated this into other dishes, it's that good. The rub is a nicely balanced spice mixture that gives it a great little kick and savory taste. I also used chicken wingettes as well as chicken breasts. Napkins are optional....I have no shame in wearing a little spicy mustache while eating finger licking good chicken.

Delicious, easy, smart idea, and perfect combination with the grilled tomato jam and Herbed yogurt. I love using tomatoes and onion for grill and especially yogurt with cilantro is great combination with chicken it self. My husband and I really enjoy this food.

Let me say first that I cut down the spice in the chicken by cutting the spice mixture in half and then cutting the cayenne in half in the spice mix. I didn't even use all of this spice mixture, since it does say to put a thin layer of spice on 1 side of the chicken and it was still very spicy. I also seeded the serrano chile after I roasted it, since my kids are sensative to spice. I would have given the dish 4 stars since I really liked the layers of flavors. My husband gave it 3 stars. He didn't care for the flavor of the spices. My kids (15 and 12 would have given it 2 stars. They felt it was too spicy. If you like spicy food with an Indian flare and don't mind spending an hour or so on dinner, this will be a great dish for you. If you are sensitive to spice or don't particularly like Indian food, you might want to skip this recipe.

This is my new favorite recipe!! So delicious and my husband loved it too. I forgot to get the pepper for the tomato jam, but it still tasted great anyway. I also made naan from scratch instead of pita bread and it was perfect. It took me closer to an hour total with prep and everything, but the flavor is worth it!
