I have made this a number of times for family/friends in the Summer of 2011 and will again this Summer because it is enjoyed by all. The jam, simply put is out of this world good! The yogurt is a must have with this dish as it adds the cool soothing flavors that offset the slight heat and spice of the rub and jam. The jam takes some effort, however, worth all the attention - I have incorporated this into other dishes, it's that good. The rub is a nicely balanced spice mixture that gives it a great little kick and savory taste. I also used chicken wingettes as well as chicken breasts. Napkins are optional....I have no shame in wearing a little spicy mustache while eating finger licking good chicken.

Delicious, easy, smart idea, and perfect combination with the grilled tomato jam and Herbed yogurt. I love using tomatoes and onion for grill and especially yogurt with cilantro is great combination with chicken it self. My husband and I really enjoy this food.

Let me say first that I cut down the spice in the chicken by cutting the spice mixture in half and then cutting the cayenne in half in the spice mix. I didn't even use all of this spice mixture, since it does say to put a thin layer of spice on 1 side of the chicken and it was still very spicy. I also seeded the serrano chile after I roasted it, since my kids are sensative to spice. I would have given the dish 4 stars since I really liked the layers of flavors. My husband gave it 3 stars. He didn't care for the flavor of the spices. My kids (15 and 12 would have given it 2 stars. They felt it was too spicy. If you like spicy food with an Indian flare and don't mind spending an hour or so on dinner, this will be a great dish for you. If you are sensitive to spice or don't particularly like Indian food, you might want to skip this recipe.

This is my new favorite recipe!! So delicious and my husband loved it too. I forgot to get the pepper for the tomato jam, but it still tasted great anyway. I also made naan from scratch instead of pita bread and it was perfect. It took me closer to an hour total with prep and everything, but the flavor is worth it!

These were really tasty.. this made a nice light refreshing dinner. My hubby to me to make this often. Next time I will change the amount of mint and only add about half the amount called for and might increase the cilantro. I could not taste the cilantro at all... just mint. My 9yr son really liked the whole meal too.

Very tasty- I gave 4 stars because I think the cayenne pepper needs to be reduced to fit my kids palate. The tomato relish is very good but I would reduce amt of balsamic to 2 Tbs. Everything else is great!

My husband absolutely loved it, (loves hot and I did too, but will use less Ceyenne next time. He said it was perfect. I loved the combo of the herbed greek yogurt with the spicy rub and the sweet jam...Yum!!! I followed recipe just as it said, and it was more than awesome. Cilantro is one of my faves, although not overbearing in the yogurt. Overall, excellent!!!!! Great job, Bobby.

Excellent dish. This is my go to dinner when bring friends and family over to the house. Try to use a real grill when cooking the chicken as a grill pan indoors tends to create some acrid smoke if you have the grill pan too hot! The layering of the spice (chicken, heat (tomato jam and the coolness (yogurt will make your friends think you are one heck of a cook!

I just made the chicken and threw it in the oven. So so good, i'd tame down the salt a little though.
