I really liked this. It sure was a lot of spices though. I took the left-over paste and froze it in a plastic bag. The tomato jam as excellent even without the saffron, as once I saw how expensive it was I skipped that ingredient. This jam could be served as a dip with tortilla chips. I served it just like the recipe said and I was glad I did all of it. The yogurt helped cool down the spice of the chicken. I am not a spicy "hot" eater, but I really liked this.

I just made the chicken, not the jam or yogurt, but it was absolutely fabulous and flavorful, unlike many chicken marinades or spice rubs I've tried, and the whole family loved it. I did cut the cayenne in half like some other people suggested. It still had a kick but it wasn't overpowering, which was important as I didn't make the yogurt. This is something I'll definitely make again, but only occasionally because of the quantity of spices (even with double the amount of chicken, I still thought it used up a lot of my spices that come in the smaller containers.

Fair amount of work, but totally worth it. The amount of seasoning recommended in the recipe, and I suppose that is worth it for the grill. If making it in the oven, I find that about 1/2 of that amount spice is appropriate. I also swapped out the pita bread for naan bread bought at Whole Foods. My parents were huge fans when I made it! One of my go to recipes.

loved this recipe so much I find myself craving it occasionally. I reduced the amount of red pepper flakes to my liking, and still thoroughly enjoyed it.

This is really excellent and I especially like the yogurt sauce with the chicken. We eat it without the pita bread, and it is amazing!

This is so so very good. I just wanted to try something new. It was quick, even with quite a few steps but so worth it. Perfect spice with the yogurt to cool it down. You can even sub pita for tortillas if need be.

Very delicious! The rub was very tasty and all of the spices complimented each other. For the yogurt sauce, I didnt have a blender so i minced the herbs very fine and I added a little garlic and it was a cool refreshing contrast with the hot and spicy chicken! I am giving this recipe four stars because I didnt care too much for the tomato jam and spent a little more time making it than I wanted to!

Excellent! Everyone at my dinner party loved it. It was too spicy for my mild taste, so next time I'll just use less cayenne and make more of the yogurt sauce.

This is delicious! I only had one chicken breast, which I had pounded out. I took an old, empty spice bottle and made a smaller batch, 1 Teaspoon replaced 1 Tablespoon. After coating my single breast, I have plenty left over for the next time. Did it on a griddle pan, instead of the grill and it was perfect. Didn't do the yogurt, but will next time.
