I understand that this is a good recipe but it just wasn't for me. The only mods I made were to use less cayenne and ginger. It was fun to make. There were just so many flavors going on in this that it became overwhelming. I would probably make the tomato jam again and even the yogurt sauce with slightly less mint. Interesting flavors just too intense for my simple palate.

I thought this recipe had great flavor. The tomato jam and the yogurt paired wonderful with the spicey chicken. I did make a mistake. Rather than follow the instructions to a T, I decided to put the spice rub on both sides of the chicken. I like lots of flavor. It became so spicey hot we had to rinse the chicken off with water. I recommend only putting the spice rub on one side like the instructions say. Also, next time I will cut the cayenne in half to make it a little less hot. Other than that, this was wonderful. I will definitely make this again.

I hesitantly made this for my fiance (icky picky and stuffed it in pita and he absolutely loved it. There is wayyyy more spice rub than needed for this one application, I'd say three times more than you need, and I ended up losing a lot in the pan. I didn't grill it outside, but cooked it on an indoor grill pan. That being said, it almost singed my eyelashes off, all the spices and especially the cayenne floating around in the air (I agree that the cayenne needs to be backed down by about half. I was constantly sneezing and coughing. This one is delish but difficult to stand there at the stove and cook!

If you're looking for something new and tasty to do with chicken, this is a good bet. When making the tomato jam, cut up the serano a little finer than the recipe says so no one gets a big chunk. Also, if you don't like your food too hot, cut down on the cayenne. It will still taste really good and will have the heat from the jam. I needed to use more oil to make the paste than the recipe called for. The spice mixture makes way more than needed, so either cut the amounts in half or store part of it before you add the oil. You can make the sauce and jam ahead of time. With this done, the meal is really quick and easy to make and is really delicioius with the two condiments. Give this a try for a fun and easy alternative to plain old chicken breasts.

Tonight was the first time I made this and it came out awsome! I only made this for my husband and myself so we just used 2 chicken breast and instead of using a tablespoon of each seasoning, I cut it down to teaspoon size. We didnt have much left over which was great. Now it is spicy, I like spicy but for others it may be too hot so cut the cayenne pepper a bit and maybe the white pepper as well. For the tomato jam I only used 2 small to medium tomatoes, one serrano, and about 1/4 cup of onion and 2 tbl of balsalmic. It came out great. I also didnt have corriander nor the saffron but it still came out great. We also used Naan flatbread and that made it even better. The yogurt sauce was really really good and helped cool down the heat of the chicken. We loved the mint and the cilantro, so much flavor! Anyway this was really great. I hope everyone tries this recipe!

We definitely didn't use a tablespoon of cayenne, Mr. Spicy Bobby Flay :3 And it was still very spicy, and very, very tasty. :3 We also didn't have coriander, because it was like $10 a bottle- maybe we'll grow some cilantro and grind the seeds to make our own. Even with these alterations, the spice rub was fantastic. We also didn't have saffron, because again, very expensive :3 We also added a little sugar to the herbed yogurt sauce, and it came out fantastic! I think next time, I might dice a little bit of cucumber and blend it in with the yogurt :3

I loved this - everyone at the table did, too. Spice rub was a little too salty - will fix next time. Made an arugula/feta salad to go with it.

I forgot to get Greek yogurt, so I just used Nancy's Plain for the sauce I don't know if it was just as good, but it was pretty delicious to me since I wouldn't know the difference. The Tomato Jam was awesome. I used the left overs on some toasted bruschetta and made a nice snack the next day : As for the Tandoori chicken...it was waaaayyyy too spicy for my boyfriend and I. My boyfriend who loves spicy foods said it was too hot which rarely happens. I loved the flavor of the chicken and maybe I put too much paste on the chicken, who knows :... but I'll definitely use less cayenne pepper. You're too smokin' hot Bobby! :

My husband is on a diet, so were trying to eat more chicken. I used fresh grated ginger and cut out the cumin. I also skipped grilling the veggies and just threw them in with the sauteed onions. This meal STILL turned out great. He's taking the leftover chicken tomorrow on a salad. (That is, if I don't get to it first!
