When I was making the filling I was surprised at how thin it was! I ended up adding much more pumpkin puree but in the end it all worked out and it was fantastic! (I snuck a little piece
My relatives absolutely adore pumpkin pie and I can't wait for them to try it!
    Thanks so much Bobby Flay!
Next time remember to say to put in more pumpkin!

The vanilla muddled the traditional pumpkin pie flavors. It also came out with the spices looking speckled on top. Took about 1/2 hour longer than it says for the pie to set.

I followed the recipe to the T for the pumpkin pie ingredients and the house smells fantastic and the pie is the most beautiful color. I changed the crust and used sweetzels ginger snap cookies grinded in the cusinart w/melted butter until the grainy sand texture developed and pressed it into the pie tin. Vanilla beans can be found out just about any supermarket in the spice section. It only took 1:15 to cook in my oven.

This is hands-down the best pumpkin pie i have ever had. It has so much depth and flavors of the season it makes a perfect addition to your Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner. This recipe has become a tradition at our holiday dinners as of Thanksgiving 2010. I am excited to be making it again this year and for years to come.

This is the best pumpkin pie I have ever made or tasted!! Doesn't need the cream. I make it for both Thanksgiving and Christmas. Awesome!

This recipe is amazing. It produces the best pumpkin pie I ever ate in my life. I made this with fresh pumpkin and also I produced the graham cracker crust. My only advice is to add slightly more cinnamon than it calls for in the crust, and to cook the crust for 10 minutes, not 15. (at least at ground level elevation Otherwise, amazing. I had no bourbon for the whipped cream, and that did not seem to matter. My friends and family were absolutely wowed by this spectacular pie, which was so rich and creamy, it tasted almost like cheesecake!

Awesome pie. A little surprised Bobby won this one and it appears he was surprised as well.

The above recipe doesn't tell you anything about the Cinnamon Crunch topping. Bobby has another Pumpkin Pie recipe that does include the Cinnamon Crunch topping ingredients with the Bourbon Maple Cream topping. The pie above is for a 9" pie and his other pie is for a 10" pie. The ingredients for both pies are almost identical except there is no sugar in the graham cracker crust in the 10" version and there are an additional 2 eggs added to the puree. I've tried both versions and the above 9" version was better in my opinion. The 10" version at least gave me the ingredients for the Cinnamon Crunch topping. Next time I'll try the 10" version with the ingredients from the above 9" version.

It does have to cook a little longer than stated above. The results are amazing. Everyone loved the pie especially the Cinnamon Crunch and Bourbon Maple cream.

This was my first pumpkin pie - and I think I have found my signature Thanksgiving dessert. I am from the Caribbean and Thanksgiving is a new holiday for me, and I wanted to learn to make some traditional desserts. I am happy I choose this one after seeing the Throwdown episode! My fiancee said the pie took him back to his childhood...and that is a testament to this recipe.
The only thing different that I did was use an organic graham cracker pre-prepared crust, but everything else I followed precisely...and the results were fabulous!
