This was the first time I ever baked a pumpkin pie and it turned out AMAZING! Well, it was a HUGE hit to all my friends that I baked it for for Christmas! I was told by those I gave the pies to that "it's one of the best pumpkin pies I've ever had!" and they weren't just being nice either! A definite repeat!!! Thank you Bobby Flay!

I would love to try both pies on this Throwdown Episode! If anyone has Michelles Recipe please email it to me. I am baking Bobby's from this website as I write, but it is not the same pie that was baked on the Throwdown episode. Bobby's also had a pecan streusel topping which is not on this recipe. Do any of you BF fans have the actual recipe! Would love to have both! thnks, Nikki D

I decided to try my hand at this pie after watching the Episode on TV. I followed it to the letter and as it baked, the most wonderful smells were coming from the oven. My friends were excited as we sat around talking about how it would taste. I also followed Michele's example and took fresh Pumkins from my garden and puree'd them for the filling. After eating a slice each, all of my guests agreed that this pie was now going to be a staple at their next Holiday feast!

I am whole heartedly advising all out there to test this in their kitchens and don't forget to use FRESH pumkin, not canned...it does make all the difference!
