This cake is fantastic! The dark chocolate cake is beautifully paired with the bittersweet chocolate ganache and lightly sweetened coconut whipped cream.

This is the perfect cake for a special occasion. Though time-consuming, it is well worth it when your guests ask for seconds.

Mine is not as pretty as Bobby's but here's a picture:

This cake was a restaurant quality dessert! It was a lot of effort, ingredients and money, but the result was fantastic! We made it for a large dinner party and everyone raved about it. The whipped cream was soooo good! I would suggest this to anyone and everyone, especially if you love coconut!

This cake is phenomenal! It took an incredibly long time to cook and many pricey ingredients but it was well worth it. Everyone who ate it agreed that it was the best cake they'd ever had. YUM! I will definitely make this again.

OK, so I saw this cake on Throwdown and just had to try it. First off, Sorry Bobby - it's NOT German Chocolate, even with the pecans, coconut and caramel based frosting because there is no German(s Chocolate in it.

That being said. It is one of the BEST Chocolate cakes I have ever had, bar none - it even beats out my G- grandmothers. I was a long time in the kitchen but it was well worth it. I did make l addition in that I made a sturdy German Chocolate based butter cream icing and lightly iced the sides of the cake, combing it to look fancy. I let that set up good and prope,r and THEN poured the ganache over the top and let it drizzle down the sides. This is a special-occasion event cake and I WILL make it again.
