    how can people give this recipe a rating (let alone a bad rating when they didn't even make the food? 3 stars out of 5 because you want a different recipe? people may avoid this recipe because you've rated it lower than it should have, based solely on your desire to get a different recipe. ridiculous.

    also, how can you give it a fair rating when you alter the recipe? someone gave it a 3 out of 5, but didn't make the queso sauce. really?

    anyways, I made this burger exactly how it was in the recipe and loved it. the heat and sweet are perfect, and love the contrast of textures with the tortilla chips. thanks bobby.

    Awesome...Could not find any Hatch chilis in Nashville so I used 1 Pablano, 1 Jalapeno, 1 Serrano and 2 Anaheim. It turned out great. The honey gives a little buffer before you get the heat.

    I just finished making these and having them. I must say I was quite disappointed with the relish. I expected a lot more pop! There was no zing to the burger, it tasted pretty normal. I followed the relish and pickled onions exactly, and used pepper jack cheese instead of the queso sauce. It tasted good, but I expected more.

    Got this recipe from Bobby's Throwdown book. As I was making the relish, wasn't sure what to expect. But after assembling it, everything worked out. It tasted great. The wife was very surprised! The relish was excellent.

    My skills at making Queso aren't quite there yet. Mine was a little bit chunky and not as smooth. But that probably had to do with me cutting back on the recipe and guesstimating everything.

    We cook these all of the time. I recorded the episode on our DVR and actually combine Bobby's recipe with some of Buckhorn's techniques. These are my favorite burgers! We have also used the green chile relish with steak for fajitas...YUMMY!!

    Awesome! Two things... The hatch chile relish needs to be heated before serving. And the burgers taste better with the seasoning mixed in the meat... Flay.. Gets an A++

    I love all things that use so this is just another feather in my chile recipe cap. I'd never thought to make a relish with chile. Traditional green chile cheeseburgers just add slices of chile to a hamburger, but this was good too. Well worth the extra work.

    Only made the green chile relish for these burgers. The vinegar scared me, the chiles scared me?
    the only thing that scares me now, is how many times can we fix this in one week?
    We took the relish put it in a cast iron skillet and placed it on grill while the hamburgers were cooking, and reduced it down. Used american cheese.
    Worth an extra hour and the gym!!!

    My husband and I enjoyed the entire recipe. Our discovery..left-over sauce was terrific
    ...on slices of pork roast w small red potatoes;
    ...on shrimp w rice;
    ...on Rib Eye steak sandwich using ciabatta bread.
    The sauce sparkled on each dish I've listed.
    Thanks Bobby !
