I've made these burgers a few times, each time trying something different. To speed things up on a busy night, I pick up fresh, pre-formed turkey burgers at the store. This really lowers the prep time. Instead of putting a square of the bre in the burger, I experiment with different types of "spreadable" bre I find at my grocery stores and local specialty food shops. I've left the apple raw before and that gives it a nice, crunchy freshness! Adding caramelized onions is also good!

If you make this recipe as is, it will be good. However, I did add some additional flavor to the meat before pattying. Addition of some garlic salt, curry and finely diced yellow onion made it very flavorful. Also, I would suggest multiple, tiny pieces of cheese embedded in the patty. If you make them too big, you will get 1 big bite of cheese and many with none.

I have even started experimenting with different cheeses to "stuff" the burger. I have put this on the "regular routine" for frequently prepared dinners. It is easy to keep all the ingredients on hand for those nights when you aren't planning ahead.

Thought this would be good b/c of the previous reviews and that I love brie & apples, but unfortunatly it wasn't.

Very bland and not really worth the time of working the cheese into the meat & grilling the apples.

If you do decide to make these, don't put a "chuck" of cheese in each burger, as it won't melt very well -- You end up taking one bite of the burger and therefore, eating all of the cheese at once. Perhaps try adding a thin, long slice.

If you are just looking for a new turkey burger recipe, look on this site for Rachael Ray's, Cranberry Bog Turkey Burgers. They are fabulous.

My family and I are not fans of turkey burgers nor brie cheese. When all of the ingredients are together the flavors are unique and quite good. We really liked these burgers and will be making them again.

I'm a great fan of Flay (the original Mesa Grill is 3 blocks from my office and frequently cook from his recipes. This has become one of our favorites for a quick weekday meal. Occasionally we substitute sharp cheddar for the brie, which goes well with the grilled apples.

These burgers are very easy and appeal to both adults and children. The grilled apple, also quick and easy, made this a very much better than average weeknight dinner. No complaints, easy ingredients to have on hand, easy to remember, it became a regular item on our menu.

Although I probably didn't make it as good as Bobby Flay and I think I over cooked the burgers, it was still a good change of pace from normal food I eat. I don't like Brie by itself and the apples were a whole different twist but after it was all together and on the bun it was a great meal. I made it with Oven Baked Steak Fries recipe that i found here also. All in all it was a great meal and my girlfriend really liked it.
