Good, but very buttery and I used only 4 T. of butter. Next time, I will try and make it without butter because with 2 1/2 cups of cheese it probably doesn't need it. I'm also going to try it with pepper jack cheese.

So simple to prepare, I baked mine in my 10 inch cast iron fry pan, worked great. Served it as a side with Bobby's Horse Radish/Molasses Smoked Ribs, perfect together. Everyone at dinner wanted the recipe.
I loved this show with Stephanie preparing Bobby's birthday dinner, great interaction.

This was the perfect dish to go with the beef tenderloin from the same episode. Both were easy and full of flavor. Together they give you the ability to visit with guest and still put a fantastic meal on the table...all looking effortless. Very impressive meal.

Normally I would never eat grits but this was so good. I would halve the recipe next time. I left out the green chillies and it was still good.

These are so good I've been known to eat the entire pan myself if left alone. Fantastic as a side dish, breakfast or late night snack.

This casserole was fabulous. It was simple to prepare and my husband, who said he didn't like grits, went back for seconds and said it was the best side dish I've ever made and I could make it again any time. I made it with the beef tenderloin from the show for our Christmas dinner and it was a perfect accompianment with it. Definatley a recipe that will be repeated here.

I didn't have any fresh jalapenos so I used a couple of Tbsp. of canned (which is stored in an oil base..., and wow what a kick! Really good and creamy, great combination of flavors!

Full of flavor, very tasty, but just a little rich for us. I might try this one again one day but I would probably use less cheese and butter.

Easy to make comfort food. The left-over was great with eggs and bacon, with fresh salsa for breakfast. I augmented the recipe with roasted corn; yummy grits.
