What I thought was frozen ribs was actually a flank steak. Regardless, I did everything else the recipe called for and the meat was outstanding. I served it thinly sliced with fried brown rice and kimchee. My family loved it! I will use this marinade recipe again and again.

I love Korean food and these ribs tasted great..I also marinated them overnite in 7-up..then 2nd marinade next day..I cooked them on a stovetop cast iron grill pan. Will make these again.

I did the two step marinade, Sprite overnight then the soy marinade the next day. The flavor was great but the meat was really chewy. Short ribs really need to be braised to tenderize them. On the show they mentioned you can use sirloin instead of short ribs. Might not be "authentic" but the texture would be a lot better.

I just watched this show and she marinated the meat in lemon lime soda overnight and then she made the marinade and soaked the meat in it for an hour. She did NOT add the lemon lime soda to the marinade mixture like the directions suggest.
