I will admit having jumped to conclusions and not scanned every word on the web page, and when I printed the recipe out, as I frequently do, I copied and pasted the ingredients into two columns in WORD so as to get the entire recipe on 1 page; in doing so I did in fact leave out the section which indicates that it makes 24 muffins.....BUT when is see under the heading SPECIAL EQUIPMENT: (2 24 muffin tins and no direction indicating that after filling one of the tins that I should proceed to take the remaining tin (for which there are no ingredients left over and wave it over my head whilst clucking like a chicken, I will forgive myself for believing I was make 48 muffins. I will review the flavor after I pass them around at the Block Party. You will no doubt understand that I have none to spare.

Took this to a party and it was the only one that where there was still some left over. I wouldn't make it again. thought it was bland.

I made these for a baby shower and they were the most popular item amongst LOTS of great options. Warning: Don't overbake! I think I left them in 2 minutes too long,a little dry. They would have been 5 stars if moister.I took them out early but my oven runs hot. Also don't skimp on the frosting. I was trying to guess on the early muffins and didn't want to run out so 1/2 the muffins were a little light on frosting. The other half that I felt confidant I had enough frosting had a "perfect bite" ratio.Don't be shy w/ your hot sauce.Give it the full TBLSP. It needs the zip. This went into the "keeper" file. I will make this again for sure, a real crowd pleaser and pretty easy. I used the big star tip on a pastry bag and it looks very special for the guests but was easy. I am crazy for this program. I just found him from this recipe and can't figure out why I never tuned in before. FUNNY!!

These were amazing and pretty easy. I would probably recommend doing the bacon in the microwave if you have a bacon tray--it's a little faster and the bacon gets more crispy, in my experience--and next time I make them I might add a little cayenne to the corn muffin batter. The hot sauce was great in the frosting, but the muffins could use an extra kick.

I've made this several times and had a variety of experiences with it. I'd advise NOT trying to make standard-sized muffins with this recipe, as I tried three times and none of the three attempts were successful. That doesn't affect my review of the recipe, since I was just experimenting. For me, the muffins as written just needed a little extra oomph. The second time I made them, I added about 2 tbsp. hot sauce and used dark brown sugar instead of light; this was a good change. Not entirely sure I'd make them again without some tweaking.

I don't know what brand Brian uses, but my food chopper is a Pampered Chef. It works great and is very easy to clean. I use it nearly every day. If you don't know a Pampered Chef representative, go to www.pamperedchef.com. I'm sure you can find one there. They're excellent.

Like every Brian Boitano recipe I've made, this one was pretty darned terrific. I didn't change anything (unusual for me and it turned out just the way I hoped. Yummy.

This were easy to make but were pretty underwhelming, considering the ingredients. I thought the "frosting" was better than the muffins. I will probably make the frosting again, but amp up the bacon and hot sauce, and then use it as an appetizer spread (or thin it w/a bit of sour cream and use as a veggie dip. So disappointed, as I'd been really looking forward to these since I saw the show. Hope there are more episodes coming!

If you enjoy sour cream with spicey flavors, try this. As the other people have written, this food item is a tremendous winner everytime we have made it. We live in Silicon Valley, CA and have served this to dozens of people in government, science and the military. Each time, we always ran out of the muffins. We have put the cream cheese on with a knife. We have also tried the corn bread mix. Has never disappointed anyone. Just great!

I have made this recipe several times now and every time it gets rave reviews!!!!

Every one loves this cream cheese topping! I save time on the muffins by using instant corn bread mix... still delicious! Enjoy!
