I made this recipe for the first time today. I candied my bacon in brown sugar because I'm used to doing it that way. This was so yummy and a perfect appetizer for fall. I would maybe add a little more bacon next time. YOU CAN NEVER HAVE TOO MUCH BACON. If you are pushed for time you can make the apple mixture minus the bacon ahead of time. I LOVE this show! Brian is hilarious.

Definitely a keeper! This was so good, right down to the candied bacon on top. Pepperidge Farm makes frozen mini puff pastry shells. They can be hard to find, but if you can get them, it would this recipe fabulous, easy, AND quick.

Jan, I haven't made this recipe yet, but it looks exciting and very different. Since the principal flavors are apple and bacon, I would suggest a Riesling.

Loved Brian on the ice and I loved him in the kitchen. He made the dishes he made look so easy. I plan on making two of them for a ladies get together this month. Thank you Brian for the tips about the pastry. We all can always learn new cooking tips. I've given this recipe 5 stars before I 'v made it because how can a recipe go wrong with bacon.

Owen, I agree with you that Ingrid is at the very least, without a shred of a sense of humor, but calm down for heaven's sake. No one said a word about him being gay. She just doesn't get humor.

I absolutely LOVE this show! This episode was even better than the firstI I laughed right out loud at my TV. Everything he makes looks so appetizing. I plan to try all the recipes very soon. The format of this show is so fun and creative. I wonder how involved Brian is in the writing. He is hysterical! The segment with him in the middle of the derby girls in his ice skating outfit was so hilarious, I almost fell off my couch laughing! I can't wait for the next episode!

He'd make me want more! Can't get enough of these or his show... All I need is Chestey's Bacon Martini recipe. Make her give it up or say "uncle" [or to whomever she's attached].
