Bye bye boxed mac and cheese! I made this recipe for my daughters, and they loved it! This is now our favorite mac and cheese recipe.

Fantastic! This is now my family's favorite mac n cheese! Took it to a Halloween get together and got rave reviews as well. Thought the sauce had just the right texture. I still popped it in the oven to make the breadcrumbs a little crunchier. I added applewood smoked bacon and it made it even better. This is now my go to mac n cheese.

Excellent mac and cheese! The cheeses mixed together really well..I had trouble getting the lumps out of the flour, so I cooked it a little too long causing the sauce to be thicker than what I wanted. Other than that, it was very easy! Do make your own breadcrumbs...They were a HUGE hit and not very difficult (but everyone thought they were :

This was my first attempt at a cheese sauce in this manner, and it definitely made me a believer. I love love loved the sauce, and the bread crumbs were delightful little buttery crunchy bits. I did not have the cheese that the recipe calls for so I used what I had and that was Mild Cheddar. The bread crumbs: I toasted sandwich bread then diced it, tossed it onto a cookie sheet and finished drying them under a low broil, then prepared them just as it said in the recipe, they added a wonderful texture contrast to the creamy pasta...I cant wait to make this with higher end ingredients...thanks Brian for the great recipe!

I only gave it 4 stars because I didn't do the bread crumb thing so I couldn't properly judge exactly as written.
I tried this to see how it would come out but I think because of the cost of the cheeses I will stick to my butter, evaporated milk Cheddar soup and Cheddar except for special occasions. Won't the family be impressed when I bring this to Thanksgiving instead of my usual mashed potatoes.
Thanks Bryan. Loved you since the Olympics now I love your show!!!

I'm a good cook, however, I've tried to make this recipe twice following directions 100 percent and each time the cheese does not melt correctly when combining it into the milk mixture. Then when I pour it over pasta, cheese becomes one big cheese ball. What am I doing wrong? This recipe looked so good when Brian prepared it, but apparently I'm doing something wrong. What is it???? Thanks.

The gouda, fontina and asagio combo is sophisticated enough to sell to adults and it's gooey and cheesy enough to satisfy the kiddies too. I've made this twice since it aired and we loved it. WWBBM is now my favorite show on the FN...love him!

I'll try the recipe again I made the mistake of using 2% milk. Not as creamy as it could of been.

Saw this when presented on TV. My Sons were cooking Mother's Day Dinner for me and I requested this dish. This was by far the BEST mac and cheese I have ever eaten.
Then entire family enjoyed the dish.
Good Job Brian
