I love a good Dark & Stormy, and have tried several recipes, but this is the best I ever had. It makes a big difference when you make your own ginger syrup. The syrup can be adjusted to taste. I love a big ginger flavor, but can tone it down for company. I make the syrup ahead of time, so the drinks are fast to assemble. I must admit, I love coming home from a hard day knowing the ginger syrup and rum are ready to go. Bravo, Brian....you are an amazing cook!

Well, a tropical storm is on it's way to New Orleans. This will be a great drink for those dark stormy nights that await. Been looking for a good drink to use the dark rum (callewood we got as a gift. And ginger and lime are my favorites. Will try tonight.

Great drink! I tried the ginger syrup from the Ginger People b/c I didn't have time make ginger syrup--and the candied ginger makes a garnish-

This was soooo good! I didn't know the trick of pouring over a tsp to keep liquor separated - thanks! Yours is the best and most entertaining show on Food Network and every recipe I've tried is wonderful and easy to make.
