This was easy and delicious. I thought this show was going to be a dud but I enjoy it so much and I am always interested in what Brian is going to make each week. He makes me laugh and is so entertaining that I look forward to Sunday on Food Network.

I made these for a party and they turned out perfect. The almond paste was so easy to use. The pears were delicious but and fruit would taste great.

Being a fan of Brian's for quite a while, I was skeptical about what kind of cooking show this would be... was I EVER impressed! Twists on classic tastes aren't easy - being in culinary school, I can appreciate how difficult that actually can be. Thank you for great recipes, creative ideas and such a fun show - will be coming back for more...

I made these to console my husband after his favorite team lost the football game today. They are fantastic and easy. We have a get together for friends the night before Thanksgiving and these are a shoe-in for that evening!

I am not a baker-but this was just so easy.
I added pear liqueur to the wash "cause I have this bottle on the shelf that I got for Christmas.
Our guests loved this and all of them asked for all the recipes for the whole dinner.
I love Brian's show-he is fun to watch and he has good technique.
If he can do it...so can you( and I.

I actually changed it a little, but it was excellant... I substitued a standard pie crust for the almond paste (almost $7.00 a package and added some almond extract into the crust while mixing. I also added sliced almonds on top as a last touch before baking.... Served it with cherry cheese cake ice cream also.
Everything else was the same and it was delicious.

I made this last night for a special treat & could not believe how simple it was. It came together in less than 10 minutes & was wonderful. I did not use the almonds and used vanilla ice cream, but the combination of the pears & the almond paste crust was great. Will make again.
